The cheque was presented by Ms Stacie Ruan, organizer of fundraising for the supply of two reclining chairs and a Hoyer Lift for the residents of the Miriam Gumbs Senior Citizens Home. Mrs. Colvette Coley, Director of Nursing Services, expressed thanks to the Club for its contribution to the Home: “Sometime the best care that we should offer is compromised, and therefore we need all the help we can get to meet the individual needs of our older adults. We are indeed grateful to know that in your quest to give back to society you thought about the Home for our older adults”.

The East End Community Sports Club has embarked on several fundraising initiatives, from 2009, to aid in the specific areas of health and education. This contribution to the Health Authority was raised by way of a concert held in October by the Club.
The Health Authority thanked the Club for its continued support of the health and wellbeing of Anguilla’s citizens.
The Miriam Gumbs Senior Citzens Home also received a facelift from ANGLEC which replaced the old sign showing the Home’s name with a new one.
