On the 25th of November the Social Security board’s chair, as well as its Director Mr. (Timothy Hodge) and members of the Health Authority of Anguilla, visited the Miram Gumbs Senior Citizens Home (MGSCH) to inspect equipment donated by the Board.
In the month of October, the Anguilla Social Security Board, as part of its ongoing contributions to the island, purchased several pieces of equipment at a cost of $6,350 USD for the Home. These were six 24000 btu (Inverter Style) air conditioning units, a General Electric 5 burner range for usage at the kitchen of the MGSCH, and a refrigerator.
The AC units were installed by Mr. Livingstone Webster of Webster Refrigeration. Director of Facilities at the Princess Alexandre Hospital commented: “The addition of the AC units helps to enhance the overall customer care capabilities of the Home and increases the comfort level for the patients”.
