There are great things in store at LIME Anguilla, Mr. Desron Bynoe, newly-appointed Country Manager from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, told media representatives on Tuesday, November 17.

He was speaking at the official launch of LIME’s 4G LTE Network and his formal introduction. He was accompanied at the press conference by Ms. Jade Reymond, Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager, and Mr. Larry Stott, Services Operations Manager.

“As we mentioned on Saturday [November 14], we anticipate the rebranding of our retail brand from LIME to FLOW,” Mr. Bynoe said. “It is our hope and expectations that, with this new brand, Anguillians will experience a change in customer experience, customer service – the way we do business and how things transcend on a day-to-day basis.”

Bynoe, his island home’s past national footballer, with extensive playing experience in the Caribbean, worked at LIME, COLUMBUS/FLOWTELECOMS and is now back at LIME. He will now be moving to FLOW once the rebrand is completed. “With the new brand you will see a whole refresh in the way we do business and how we interact with our customers,” he stated. “The idea is about ensuring that the first experience by our customers is always a welcoming and gratifying one. That is one of the things that, as a company, we would really like to see ramped up and would like to pride ourselves on.”

My. Bynoe continued: “You will also see new technologies coming down the pipeline of which today you will witness our new 4G LTE launch. We also have our entertainment element that the company hopes to bring. We anticipate that television will be in Anguilla, all things being equal, by next year. I just like to say that there are great things in store, and I would like to express thanks to the Anguillian public, thus far, for their support and continued loyalty to us as Cable & Wireless/LIME.”

Ms. Jade Reymond said: “As Mr. Bynoe mentioned, today is our official launch of our new 4G LTE Network. We are the first company to bring this service to our customers and we are extremely pleased as we consider today a new milestone in our Cable & Wireless/LIME legacy, covering 90 percent of the island. This has resulted in higher capacity and enhanced mobile data services.” (See press release issued by Ms. Reymond elsewhere in this edition of The Anguillian.)

The launch of 4G LTE Network on Tuesday saw a number of persons purchasing the new Sony Expedia Smart Phone at the introductory price (only for that day) of EC$199. Two other phones – the iPhone 6 (16GB) and the iPhone 6 plus (16GB), now half of the original price, will be available shortly.
