A digital creative expo came to life on Thursday September 3rd at the La Vue Boutique Hotel and Conference Centre, where students who participated in the ‘Youth Escape’ Digital Media Workshop showcased their films and musical creations.
The workshop was held for two weeks: August 17 – 28. During the first week, the students focused on film production where they wrote their own scripts, filmed at various locations, produced and edited their work. In the second week the Workshop focused on music production where the students wrote and produced their own songs.
In helping to make the programme possible, this year, UNICEF provided funding of US $17,000. Local sponsors included Wrapped In Blue, Irie Life, Innovative Works, CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa, The Department of Youth & Culture and the Ministry of Social Development.
