One of the features about farming inAnguilla, these days, is the involvement of a growing number of persons, both male and female, in backyard gardening.

For a number of them, it is harvest-time and one of the proud planters and reapers is Wanda Brooks of Little Harbour. The D-3 Enterprise Insurance worker enjoys gardening, while her husband, Pastor Hugo Brooks, of World Harvest Church, busies himself with another type of sowing – in the vineyard of his ministry.

Mrs. Brooks’ garden includes pumpkins (which are very much in demand in the local market), and various other vegetable crops. For her, it is welcome produce after some hard, but enjoyable, garden work and nurturing.
