Milling throngs of revellers jammed the road for hours between the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre (Carnival Village) and Road Bay, Sandy Ground, Anguilla, on J’ouvert morning, August 3, in the early part of the Anguilla Summer Festival. The merriment spilled over in the Caribbean Beach Party where music, dancing, boatracing and feasting were the order of the day. Hundreds of Anguillians and visitors, from far and near, rubbed shoulder to shoulder in the massive crowd. The following scenes were captured by the camera of The Anguillian newspaper:
