Yesterday News Media in Anguilla and elsewhere carried a News item wherein it was alleged that the Anguilla football Association failed to respond to FIFA’s request to be interviewed by the FIFA investigation team with respect to the Trinidad and Tobago conference.

That is blatantly untrue. On Wednesday 8th June 2011 at 8:43:33 am the Anguilla Football Association responded to FIFA’s request. This response was done through the Association’s Legal Counsel Mr. Thomas Astaphan. FIFA has not yet replied to that response. Any assertion to the contrary is simply not true.

The Anguilla Football Association, in said correspondence, indicated a full willingness to cooperate with the FIFA investigation, at a time and at a place convenient to the AFA.

FIFA has not taken up the Association’s offer.
