Thursday, 25th June 2015, saw 35 students take part in Prophecy Preschool’s 16th Annual Graduation Ceremony held at the Rodney MacArthur Rey Auditorium, under the theme ‘Light Up Your World Wherever You Are’. The programme was opened by Ms Cleonette Lake, President of the PTA Executive, who observed a moment’s silence in memory of Keona Busby who passed away in August 2014. The remainder of the ceremony was enthusiastically chaired by Mr Vanburn Brookes.

The ceremony was well attended by Board members, teachers, parents, family and friends, who enthusiastically supported all the poems, songs and speeches presented by the graduates. As usual, it was a wonderful sight to see the fathers escorting the children to the front of the auditorium and to their seats. The Valedictorian, Kavaj Connor, although overwhelmed with the whole proceedings, delivered an outstanding memorized address, with courage, and attracted a standing ovation from the audience. The feature address was skillfully delivered by Ea-Rhon Rogers a past student of Prophecy Preschool.

The graduates enjoyed a dinner hosted at Flavours Restaurant to round off the evening’s proceedings. A trip to St Maarten’s Zoo and the Kids Playground on Friday, 26th June 2015, marked the final day of celebrations. The parents and children had a wonderful time on the trip to St. Maarten. It was a fun experience.
The ceremony, although marking the end of the preschool journey, signifies the beginning of higher academic pursuits as the School continues to embody its motto: ‘Developing the Mind … caring for the Soul’. Mr Mitchelle Lake, a parent of one of the graduates, stated that “the graduation ceremony was a memorable occasion to mark this milestone in the lives of the young graduates. We witnessed the performance of the children who were brave, talented and truly admirable. Congratulations to the principal and teachers of the Prophecy Preschool for a job well done in molding the lives of the class of 2015.”
