JULUCANS, LOCAL ARTISTES RAISE FUNDS FOR GUNSHOT VICTIM

No bigger fund-raising event can easily be recalled inAnguillathan the one held last weekend for Randy Hodge, the victim of a recent shooting incident which has left him severely handicapped.

The benefit concert was presented by a number of local singers, musicians and other church and community groups. They joined forces with Cap Juluca Cares –  Project Hope in what has been described as a most successful, caring and well-patronised presentation at the Rodney MacArthur Rey Auditorium.

 

Randy, who sustained five gunshot wounds, is now a patient at a hospital inPanama. He was employed as a Bell Boy at Cap Juluca.

 

The performers included Sproka, Boss and Company, Darwin Mussingnton, Evan Webster, Omalie Doran, Drak, Jerome Vanterpool,Khalidah Hull, Myisha Letang, Kaja Carty, Susan Best, and Joseph Pradel.

 

Others who gave performances were No Walls Community Choir, World Harvest Assembly Choir,Melodiesfrom Heaven,Klassique Dancers, Dance Within and members of Cap Juluca’s staff.

 

In addition to the admission tickets, funds were also raised from the sale of refreshments during the concert. The money is to assist Randy’s family with medical expenses and other costs.
