RAPF REPORTS: Woman Police Retires After Almost 24 Years Of Service

The Commissioner of Police of the Royal Anguilla Police Force, Mr. Rudolph Proctor, announces the retirement of Woman Police no. 42 Bernadette Carbon who retired after serving for almost 24 years as a member of the RAPF.

WPC Carbon who joined the RAPF on 1st July, 1991 retired effective the 22nd March, 2015.

Officer Carbon who served in a number of departments in the RAPF including Traffic, Criminal Investigation and Beat and Patrol during her tenure also served as an Instructor at Regional Police Training Centre in Barbados for a period of six (6) months in 2013. She also served as an Acting Sergeant of police on several occasions.

In taking her exit from the RAPF, WPC Carbon indicated, “I will like to this opportunity to express thanks and appreciation to the Anguillan public for accepting me as one of their own and for making my policing career so successful. I encourage them to continue assisting the RAPF because the police and the community must work hand in hand if we are to continue to have an Anguilla that is tranquility wrapped in blue”.

WPC Carbon also expressed thanks and appreciation to her colleagues who she has come to know and respect over her 24 years of service in the organization and encourages them to continue to work hard and be true to their job, “protection of life and property”. She also thank her family especially her children for their love and support during her years of service.

The Commissioner of Police and other ranks of the RAPF join in wishing Officer Carbon a very productive retirement.
