CORDANE RICHARDSON RECEIVES SPECIAL AWARD FROM ABRMS

Cordane O. Richardson of DCC Music studio, South Hill sat the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) Grade 8 theory in November 2010 at age 15, and gained a Distinction. He has recently been recognized by the board as one of the winners of the Hedy King Robinson Award. This award is given to pupils worldwide for high standards in Grades 6 to 8 Theory of Music exams, with scores ranging from 90 to100 (full marks)..

Mr. Richardson’s name was published in ABRSM Annual Review 2010. (see page 28-Search www.google.com). He also received a monetary award in the form of a cheque. He was the sole recipient in the Caribbean region to receive such an award in 2010. The board extends congratulations to Cordane and DCC Music studio, and encourages young aspiring Anguillian musicians to aim for such excellence.

The prize fund for this award was generously donated by the late James T Robinson of Pheonix City, Alabama, USA and is named n memory of his wife.
