The seats at the well-decorated tables filled up slowly. When all of the guests were eventually in place, the formal dinner, marking the 43rd Anniversary of the Royal Anguilla Police Force, turned out to be a large and enjoyable event.

For those who stayed back, the sprawling floor of Flavours Restaurant provided another dimension to the well-spent evening: the dance with music by Boss and the Horsepower Band, performers of the musical entertainment during the dinner.

There were no formal speeches at the event, except the welcome remarks by Police Officer, Mr Maurice Bryson, and the Invocation by Pastor Cecil Richardson of the Central Baptist Church. The Pastor and his congregation were the hosts of the Police Anniversary Service on Sunday, January 25, at Rey Hill.

The Dinner and Dance climaxed a series of activities which brought the Police and the community in a closer relationship and, like the other events, scored a number of well-needed public relations marks for the law officers.
