The newest member of the Anguilla Bar is Ms Ayana Amina Tyrell. Ms Tyrell was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor on Wednesday 5th November by Her Ladyship the Hon Justice Cheryl Mathurin. Ms Tyrell’s call was moved by Mrs Joyce Kentish-Egan QC and seconded by Mr J Alex Richardson. Mr Kerith Kentish also spoke on behalf of the Junior Bar.
Her Call to the Bar culminates several years of legal studies for Ms Tyrell. Ms Tyrell is the holder of a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Buckingham (2012) and is also the holder of a Post Graduate Diploma in the Bar Professional Training Course awarded by Cardiff University (2014).
Ms Tyrell was called to the Degree of the Utter Bar by the Honourable Society of Middle Temple in England and Wales on 28th November 2013.
Ms Tyrell is no stranger to Anguilla, as she was born in French St Martin and can trace her ancestry on her maternal side to Anguilla.
Ms Tyrell will now join the Law Firm of Alex Richardson and Associates as the newest member of their Chambers. Ms Tyrell is looking forward to practicing law in Anguilla and giving back to the community at large. She truly believe it is in service of others that one finds oneself and aims to actively shape and mold the minds of the next generation.
