wipo-pressOne of Anguilla’s unique international arbitrage advantages and distinctions is that we are the only country in the world to offer a “Certificate of Intellectual Property Residence” (the CIPR) thereby reducing the likelihood that an “intangible” song, formula, script, invention, painting, photo, software or other creation … is actually resident and taxable elsewhere.

Pictured above is the “tangible” example of a car, affectionately known as “Darth”, parked in front of the WIPO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. It is clearly identified as being owned in Anguilla by the number plate it bears. Similarly, the “CIPR” achieves the same type of evidence of residential ownership of “intangibles” filed with the Anguilla Commercial Registry.

Discussions on further WIPO recognition were initiated during this Swiss visit November 6th.
