Saturday October 11th marked Anguilla’s 5th annual Extreme Bake Off Competition & Fashion Show Production 2014 hosted by the Jesus Christ VIPs of Anguilla. In the superbly decorated space graced by Black Orchid Florist & Events fine work Flavours, Restaurants at La Vue South Hill Anguilla came to life. The evening embraced elegance, flavoured with cake, passion and fashion.
This year’s theme was “A Cake Designed for Royalty” and the competition was a two part event which included (1) Best “Tasting Cake and (2) design and décor of a cake within 2 ½ time frame.
From 7 prospective teams it was possible only for 3 teams to participate in the competition this year, however the evening was like none other. The participating teams plunged into the competition with high energy.
The teams who participated were:
1. Sugarlicious Creations – Mary Smith, Gwendolyn Smith, Jason Liburd
2. Purediamonds Creations – Kenisha Peters
3. The Jesus Christ VIPs Team – Avenelle Jones, Dawn Reid, Rakeem Smith, and Daniel White
The emerging Winning Team was Sugarlicious Creations produced a marvelous display of creativity and design.

The evening was further enhanced with a fashion show by Bridal Affairs & Beyond Enterprises of North Hill Anguilla who offers a full service of pagent, prom, occasions gowns, tuxedos and accessories also items from FERI Designer line. The models provided high and strong energy on the runway which was erected over the pool side at La Vue.
Special thanks and gratitude is given to the management and staff of Flavours Restaurant and La Vue Bed and Breakfast South Hill. Special recognition goes to Kirk Hughes who facilitated us in every way possible including reopening the restaurant just to accommodate this event. Some of the staff was also requested to return to work for the evening, to operate the bar and to assist again where ever necessary. Thank you!
