Digicel Staff and Fire Rescue Team

September 26th 2014- The Valley Anguilla: The Anguillan Fire & Rescue Service took time out of their busy schedules, to equip Digicel’s staff with practical firefighting techniques. The intensive workshop included information on fire prevention, different categories of fires, the correct extinguisher to use for each type of fire, and practical training on how to out fires.
The Fire Safety and prevention seminar, strives and aims to work closely with both the public and private entities to achieve and enhance the objectives of working in a safer, fire-hazard free environment for ourselves, the surroundings we are living in and our future generation.

The seminar highlighted, realities of fire hazards, Preventive Measures, Survival Techniques and Knowledge of fire hazards. It stimulated the minds of staff and alerted the Digicel team to have caution not only at home but also in the working environment.

The staff at Digicel happily joined with the Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service team, sharing what they learnt and gratefully thanking the Fire & Rescue team for their valuable information and services.

Rochus Schreiber, Country Manager commented; “The Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service is celebrating Fire Prevention Week for the fourth consecutive year, I urge all the people of Anguilla to check their kitchens, work places and homes for fire hazards, use safe cooking procedures and support the many public safety activities and the efforts of the Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service, during Fire Prevention Week 2014.”
