Mrs Evalie Bradley, the fourth Anguillian woman contesting the 2015 general election, has had her first campaign speech in her home village of South Hill.
Mrs Bradley, a retired top public servant, is the Anguilla United Front’s candidate for the Road North (District 5) constituency, comprising the northern area of South Hill, Sandy Ground and North Hill. She appeared on her party’s rostrum on Thursday night, September 4.
“I come to you with no baggage attached but with clean hands and a pure and sincere heart,” she told the large and cheering crowd, dominated by women in front the podium. “It is therefore for you, the people of district five, to make your own assessments, your own evaluations, your own conclusions about me as to whom I am and what my capabilities are. I have left a legacy and a proven track record of exemplary performance and conduct in my various capacities in the Anguilla Public Service. My record speaks for itself.”

The other women contesting next year’s general election are: Ms Palmavon Webster, Independent Candidate (District One); Mrs Cora Richardson Hodge of the Anguilla United Front (District Two); and Mrs Kristy Richardson-Harrigan of the Anguilla United Movement (District 7).
