The Anguilla Circuit of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas, will officially welcome a new Circuit Minister this coming Sunday, during a service at the Bethel Methodist Church.
The Rev Marie Veline Petit, a native of Haiti, has been assigned to the Anguilla Circuit from September first by the Leeward Islands District Conference.

Rev Veline was accepted to the Methodist ministry in 2009 having completed studies at the United Theological College of the West Indies in Jamaica, prior to which she gained valuable experience as an Administrative Secretary at the Jeromoe Circuit Office in her native island.

She served the Ebenezer Circuit in Barbados in the South Caribbean District for one year and the Antigua Circuit in the Leeward Islands District for two years, with responsibility for youth and women ministries and pastoral charge of congregations.

Rev Petit believes that her stay and ministry in Anguilla will be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, because she has already discovered “that the people are friendly, caring, hospitable and are willing to help.”

She is convinced that, with the able assistance and guidance of her senior colleagues, she “will not only settle in well but will benefit from their experience.”
