Presentation to Commissioner Proctor

The Royal Anguilla Police Force reports that Monday, 25th August, 2014, it received a donation of US$5,000.00 (five thousand US dollars) towards the purchase of a second dog for its Canine Unit. This donation was received from Mr. Irvin Phillip, Proprietor of West Indies Concrete Limited in Deep Waters Anguilla. Mr. Philip said that following the success of the first appeal for sponsorship which led to a Police Dog being recruited into the Royal Anguilla Police Force. He too felt that sponsoring a dog would help keep our community safe, so we at West Indies Concrete Limited supports a better and safer community for everyone, hence our contribution to the Royal Anguilla Police Force and its Canine Unit.

Commissioner Rudolph Proctor on receiving the cheque for US$5,000.00 said he is extremely grateful to West Indies Concrete Limited for making this contribution to our law enforcement efforts of working to make our communities safer. This contribution will go a long way in helping the Royal Anguilla Police Force to further develop and maintain a fully operational Canine Unit, with resources to tackle Drugs and Firearms crime on the island. It is my aim to have the Royal Anguilla Police Force fully resourced to tackle all aspects of criminality on this island; therefore we are grateful for the support provided by corporate partners in our society in helping us to achieve this.
