Mr. Colin Johnson

Anguilla was given international recognition for its work on the development of women’s football inAnguillaand the region.  In July 2011, female development officer, Mr. Colin Johnson and President of the Anguilla Football Association, Mr. Raymond Guishard attended the FIFA Women’s Football Symposium held in Frankfurt, Germany.  At this prestigious event with over 400 delegates, Anguilla was the smallest nation selected to present a case study on the growth and development of women’s football inAnguilla.

In January 2012, Mr. Johnson, accompanied by assistant female coach Melissa Carty, attended the FIFA/CONCACAF conference on FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011, inVancouver,Canada.  At this conference Anguilla was again singled out for special recognition for its progress in women’s football in the Caribbean when Mr. Colin Johnson was selected to be part of a podium discussion, along with Jamaica, Trinidad, USA, Costa Rica, Mexico and Canada, to discuss Women’s Football development, potential and challenges in the CONCACAF region.  On both occasions, Mr. Johnson’s presentation was top class, as he proudly representedAnguilla, CONCACAF and FIFA in the development of female football.

 

The AFA Executive salutes Mr. Johnson for a Job well done.
