Christian Fellowship Church held its 25th Annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) at the JC Recreational Centre for over 70 children between the ages of 4 – 14 years from 28th July to 1st August 2014. The pioneer and Director, Sis Iona Connor, who has been dedicated for the 25 years that the VBS has been running worked along with her team of teachers and support staff which included: Sis Jane Carty, Sis Dillian Richardson, Sis Glenda Mack, Sis Alvona Carty, Sis Iona Reid, Sis Irene Proctor and Sis Janessa Carty, – who was a previous student of the VBS.

The children were placed in 4 classes and for each of 5 days of the camp the focus was on a different bible story such as “David’s Sling” and “Aaron’s Rod”. All the day’s activities – which included a lesson with a memory verse, a craft session and a question and answer session, focused on the bible story. The week of activities culminated in a display of their creative efforts which was admired and appreciated by Reverend Dr. Ambrose Richardson – Overseer of Christian Fellowship Church in Anguilla – and the parents and friends of the children who attended The Vacation Bible School. The children made a presentation of the memory verse, motto, theme and song of the bible school and they each received a certificate for their attendance.
The JC Recreational Centre was proud to host such an auspicious event and looks forward to hosting it in 2015.
