AARF Announces Raffle Winners

The drawing for the 4th Annual Viceroy – AARF Shelter Improvement Raffle was held on Thursday, July 31st at the Sunset Lounge at Viceroy. Richard Alexander, GM at Viceroy, drew the winning tickets assisted by Lynne Bernbaum.

The prizes and winners were:

1st Prize: VICEROY – Dinner, Night stay & Breakfast for 2 – Carolyn Filpula
2nd Prize: Lynne Bernbaum Art /Framing by Tanya Clark –Kathie Beck
3rd Prize: Dinner for two at Picante – Renee Greenfield
4th Prize: Handmade baby quilt by Carol Richardson – Sue Dutmers
5th Prize: Wi-Fi Radio – Paula Greene

AARF volunteers sold 495 tickets to raise money for improvements to the AARF Shelter located at Morlens Veterinary Clinic. Electricity and ceiling fans for the puppy shelter room, as well as an outside play area for the puppies are a few of the many improvements on the “wish list” for this fundraiser.
The Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation would like to thank Viceroy for their continued support of this fundraising event along with Lynne Birnbaum who donated her original artwork, Tania Clark who donated the framing, Chloe and Theron Loizos at Picante, Carol Richardson and Penny Hope –Ross for their prize donations and to everyone who supported this project. Congratulations to the winners.

The AARF shelter is open from 9 -12:30 and 3:30 – 5:30 Mon – Fri and from 9-12 on Saturday. Check our website at www.aarf.ai for adoption information. Visit Second Chances our newly opened thrift shop for lots of gently used and new items. The shop is located on the grounds of the Wallblake House next to St Gerard’s Church in the Valley – look for the “open today” sign! For more information call 476-2731.
