RESULTS OF THE JOHN T MEMORIAL CYCLING RACE IN ANGUILLA

The LIME Anguilla-sponsored 2014 John T Memorial Cycling Race, the 15th so far, was held on Sunday, July 6, with over 50 cyclists from nine Caribbean islands, including Anguilla, participating.

The visiting cyclists were welcomed to Anguilla–outside LIME’s Telecoms Building–by Mr Haydn Hughes, Parliamentary Secretary, Tourism and Sports, Minister of Communications and avid cyclist, Evan Gumbs; and Miguel Leveret, President of the Anguilla Cycling Association.

The top results of the race provided by the Association are as follows:

Elite Category

1st Place – Gregory Errin – St. Martin – 3:30:41.025

2nd Place – Vincente Sanbria – Antigua – 3:30:42.421

3rd Place – Damien Maronie -Chavalier – St. Martin – 3:30:57.452

4th Place – Raynauth Jeffrey – Guyana – 3:30:57.489

Masters Category

1st Place – Junior Niles – Guyana – 2:31:29-276

2nd Place – Zedwin Jones – Barbados – 2:31:27.989

3rd Place – Bienvenido “Papi” Carti – St. Martin – 2:31:29.201

4th Place – Cick Luttekes – St. Martin – 2:31:41.178

Pre Juniors Category

1st Place – Jamari Bryan – Anguilla – 37:39.749

2nd Place – Joel Phillip – Antigua – 37:41.402

3rd Place – Noel Fabian – Antigua – 37:43.589
