WHITHER ANGUILLA?

Mr Editor:
Check out the following and tell me where we goin:
1. Hubert will become adviser to his adviser.
2. West End will have its own Community College.
3. Anguillians have lost their pride and determination.
4. Within the next 6 months Anguilla will have a new seaport. God knows where or how.
5. Before yearend Anguilla will have a new road in The Valley, just like the newly paved road in The Farrington.
6. The AUM has two candidates running in District 6.
7. The AUM preacher has become a legal draughtsman since his retirement.
8. 47 years later and many of our homes are
without electricity and we have no water.
9. 47 years later our airplanes are still the same size as Clayton Lloyd’s planes.
10. The figures guru rattles off his college notes without an understanding of the said
figures or to whom he speaks. Adviser?
11. Renegotiate MOU? More give aways, give aways, give aways, with nothing for our hardworking employees, our people, as usual.
12. How much will our employees have to suffer at the hands of their employers with
no one to turn to? The Labour Minister is only for signing work permits.
13. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Yes, but this apple fell into a cesspool. Can you vote for that?
14. The Doctor is incapable of cleaning up the mess having jumped in the same cesspool.
15. Boards, boards, boards! The wrong people on dem. They have nothing to offer. Just on them for the money. Waste,
waste, waste!
16. 47 years later and we still don’t have a
local Attorney General. Another white man again. The colonizers are back.
17. 47 years later and back to the whites to head our Tourist Board. The colonizers are back.
Whither Anguilla? From bad to worse.
