This year, LIME Anguilla will be engaged in two major partnerships that will assist in the promotion of the Anguilla Summer Festival.
One is the platinum sponsorship of the 2014 festival at a cost of EC$125,000, an increase of some EC$13,000 over the 2013 figure. LIME’s Communications and Marketing Manager, Jade Reymond, told reporters on Monday, May 19, that the telecommunications company was continuing to play a critical role in the Anguilla’s culture and was committed to further support the summer festival.

This year’s sponsorship will include Ms Sherina (Shay Shay) Richardson, a contestant in the Miss Anguilla Pageant; the Kiddies Parade; and will be partnering with From Within Dance. LIME will also be sponsoring the A-class boat races during the August holiday week.

The second partnership, in which LIME Anguilla is involved, is the Live Creative Group whose principals are Tahirah Banks and Jermaine Payne. The aim is to promote Access Sunfest Live, an innovative way of marketing Anguilla’s 40th Summer Festival. The key feature of the initiative, called “a Revolutionary new Platform,” has been designed to be a source of entertainment, education and information covering all aspects of carnival.

The live coverage will be provided by mobile application and the website, powered by LIME Anguilla. Users will have an opportunity to interact with bands, contestants, boat racers, artistes, vendors and other participants in the summer festival activities.

Ms Banks said in part: “We wanted to partner with a company that can keep us connected whether via the web, or the 4G service with a mobile application. LIME fits the picture very nicely and has been completely supportive of all our ideas. We are very excited to have LIME on board.”

Ms Reymond stated: ”We took it as a good opportunity when we thought about our recent launch of the 4G service and being a platinum sponsor of a mobile application or a website. It is definitely a perfect fit for LIME. The benefits from that are not only being able to provide services that Live Creative Group would need to power their service, but to provide an avenue for our customers to be able to view Carnival 40 from a different angle.”
