March 10th, 2014 was a historic day for Omalie360, R&R Productions, the island and people of Anguilla. It was the day the highly anticipated “What is Love” music video premiered on the leading digital music video hosting giant -VEVO. Owned by Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Abu Dhabi Media, VEVO is an online music video and entertainment platform that publishes first-rate music videos, making them available across the globe on-demand.
The music video, “What is Love,” was filmed and produced in Anguilla under the directorship of Rocklyn Maynard, and production of Rickiell Hodge of R&R Productions. The gifted duo has worked on a number of other music videos produced in Anguilla. However, “What is Love,” having met prescribed standards, is the first Anguillian music video to be accepted and uploaded by a major music video hosting site.

IMG_5742The music video showcases spectacular scenes that capture the very essence of Anguilla – its indigenous plant and animal life that stand out in the picturesque land and seascapes of Little Bay, and Prickly Pear Cay. Featured is the exquisite Ani Villas perched on the breathtaking cliffs that border Anguilla’s little secret – Little Bay. The Island Harbour community’s fishing enclave creates the picture perfect backdrop for a romantic Sunday afternoon cruise around scenic Anguilla. The video truly epitomizes tranquility wrapped in blue.
As Anguilla’s first VEVO artist, Omalie360 joins an incredibly small fraternity of Caribbean artists who have achieved this milestone. In fact, he is also the first artist in the Leeward Islands to appear on VEVO and have his own music channel. Speaking about his latest accomplishment, Omalie360 remarked: “I am very excited yet still humble. I hardly see these as great accomplishments, but more so as another of life’s wonderful experiences. I am happy to be the artiste who brings joy, good music, and life to the music industry. I am honoured to be the vessel that was used to share my gift with the world.”
Notably, this was not the first time Omalie360 has appeared on the world stage. One of his earlier and greatest achievements was his April 2010 musical performance at “An Evening with ChildHelp” concert, Warner Theatre, Washington D.C. The U.S. Congress and First Lady Michelle Obama organized the event, which was hosted by legendary musician/songwriter and 15-time Grammy winning producer – David Foster. That evening Omalie360 shared the stage with musical greats: Patti LaBelle; Brian McKnight; Rubben Studdard; Judith Jill; and Charice. He performed his hit single “What Is Love,” and “Mama,” a song from his first album, as well as teamed up with all artists in a closing tribute song. In May 2010, the concert aired on Centric Broadcasting Network (Centric TV) where Omalie360 debuted on the world stage.
As Omalie360 continues to chart his course in the global music industry, he is currently working on a new musical project, which he is excited to share with his fans and the rest of the world.
Omalie360 wishes to thank his fans, family and friends for their continued support. A special thank you is extended to: Rocklyn Maynard and Rickiell Hodge; Luevan Webster; Bonnie Glad Vestergaad Bloom, and Staff of Ani Villas; and Keri & Samara Gumbs.
