Anguilla’s young and talented singer, Deanna Mussington, has caught the attention of C2W Music Ltd which is assisting her not only in further developing her talent, but in appearing on the international stage as well.

Deanna is the daughter of Darwin Mussington, one of Anguilla’s leading singers and musicians in whose family music is an inherent characteristic. She has been singing since the age of four years and was an early winner in such performances as star search held by Cable and Wireless. Since then, she has gone on to develop her beautiful singing talent, appearing on stage in and outside Anguilla as well as on the social network.
Representatives of C2W Music Ltd were recently in Anguilla to meet with Deanna and to involve her in a number of singing showpieces, or demos, for use in marketing her talent in the music industry.

“We definitely going to get five great demos and will start playing them for record label executives around the world very soon – within a few weeks or so,” said one of the Canadian videographers and producers with C2W Music. “You know you can’t predict what’s going to happen. What we do know is that we have some hits, and even if tomorrow Deanna’s luck isn’t Rihanna’s luck – which means she doesn’t get a recording contract right away – there is an independent route we can go. We have some great songs. We can come back, shoot a music video and start a social media buzz on Twitter, Facebook or You Tube etc, and just create a buzz. Sometimes the major labels either see you right away, or they invest in you right away, or you have to create momentum…We have seen that with a hundred other artistes…

“The idea is for us to work very closely with Deanna to create a real social media platform where she has a fan base, and they are very active. So we will reach out to Anguillians who love what they hear, and love Deanna, and want to make Anguilla proud globally. They have to be extremely active on her network and that is going to help us do our job globally.”

Deanna’s father, Darwin, proprietor of Darwin’s Place – a Night Club and Bar – overlooking Road Bay, says he is very proud of her. He is delighted that he has had an influence on her life, and on what is expected to be a bright singing and musical career.

C2W Music Ltd is a Caribbean-based music publishing company with executives having over three decades of global experience in the music publishing, recording, artiste management and entertainment industry. The company also has access to a number of world class song writers who write for promising and beautiful singers like 19-year-old Deanna Mussington of Anguilla.
