Tom Wright Memorial Championship 2014
In the Ladies event, Angela Lampe crowned the Tom Wright Memorial Champion for 2014.
The fourth annual Tom Wright Memorial Women’s Championship Golf Tournament was held on 22nd February 2014 at the Cuisinart Golf Club. Tom Wright, who passed away on the 10th December 2010, was a steadfast supporter of Women’s Golf in Anguilla. Tom was instrumental in organising the ladies and youth instructional programmes. The keenly contested ladies event was held simultaneously with the AGA’s premier tournament, the Peter Johnstone Claret Cup.
The winner of this year’s Tom Wright Memorial Championship was Angela Lampe with a Gross score of 103.
A Net prize was also awarded to Nathalie Le Senechal for shooting a net score of 75.
The Tom Wright Trust was established to support youth in Anguilla who have an interest in golf. The Trust will support scholarships and equipment. Donations can be accepted through the Anguilla Golf Association at P.O. Box 727, The Valley, Anguilla.

The Peter Johnstone Claret Cup
The Peter Johnstone Claret Cup 2014 Golf Championship medal play event was held at the Cuisinart Golf Club on 22nd February 2014.
This is the Anguilla Golf Association’s premier event in the 2014 tournament calendar.
A total of 26 golfers participated in the event with Theron Loizos topping the field with a low gross score of 74 to become this year’s champion and a record 5th time winner of the Cup.
All other players were eligible for five low net prizes.
The five best net winners are as follows:
5th Lowest Net – Larry Stott – 70
4th Lowest Net – James Mauk – 70
3rd Lowest Net – Comfort Paul – 69
2nd Lowest Net – Lester Samuel – 66
1st Lowest Net – Rob Holtet – 63
