Tranquillity Wrapped in Blue is again the official slogan being used to brand Anguilla as an upmarket tourism destination. After having been used for several years, the slogan was changed to Feeling is Believing.

Anguilla’s Director of Tourism, Mrs Candis Niles, said the resumption of the Tranquillity Wrapped in Blue slogan was one of the matters which the Tourist Board and its overseas representatives were excited about with the beginning of 2014 and the island’s marketing programme. She was at the time addressing a marketing meeting between the Tourist Board and WINAIR on January 6 at Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel.

Mrs Niles explained that Tranquillity Wrapped in Blue tied in with the objectives of the island’s sustainable Tourism Master Plan under which all activities were governed.

“We are really happy to let you know that we are moving forward with the return to Tranquillity Wrapped in Blue and I am very proud to be standing beside the visual rendition of the new tagline,” she stated. “We want to let you know that the branding process for Anguilla is now in play…As many of you will be aware, the Ministry of Tourism has secured the services of the Britto Agency which has been charged with the responsibility of developing that brand and creating the right template that we will be using going forward. In the meantime, as we await the new brand which will be appropriately launched at a grand time, we are continuing our marketing efforts under our beloved Tranquillity Wrapped in Blue.”

As part of the re-launching of Tranquillity Wrapped in Blue, Ms Chantelle Davis, the Deputy Director of Tourism, gave a power point presentation of various aspects of life in Anguilla. The presentation, a key element of the slogan, was first given at CHTA Marketplace which was held from Saturday, January 11 to Tuesday, January 14, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in Jamaica.
