The Attackers Team had its beginning roots in The Valley community and a conscious effort has been made, over the past two years, to recruit actively from the youth in this community, recapturing some of the traditional sentiment and support of the formative years of the team. “I am pleased that we have attracted to the team, some of the youth who are carrying the torch from their fathers, uncles and cousins who were founding stalwarts of the Attackers in past days,” says Ian “”Sugar George” Edwards, current sponsor and longtime player on the team. The energised team welcomed several new motivated players this season, including popular favourites and eager newcomers.
The Attackers have had several team-building events, including retreats and training stints, leading up to the start of the season.
