The Ministry of FEDICT was officially informed of the approval by the bank which issued the following statement . “The CDB was really pleased with the high level of stakeholder involvement in both the development of the STMP and in the presentation of its final recommendations. The degree of stakeholder engagement highlights the buy-in that already exists at all levels of Anguillian Society, which is critical for ensuring that the plan’s recommendations are effectively implemented. CDB is also pleased with the quality of work done by the consultants and looks forward to witnessing the execution of the various priority interventions in the Sustainable Tourism Masterplan”.

In echoing the banks comments Dr Harrigan said ”The Ministry is exceedingly pleased at the excellent outcome of the Master planning exercise. The CHL-Halcrow team gave sterling service to the Government of Anguilla, conducting extensive research and paying attention to minute details. This is reflected in the quality and content of the plan itself”.
The news was also welcomed by Haydn Hughes, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism “The CDB’s approval is very good news indeed”, he said “as a number of potential developers, and industry partners have long since been requesting copies of the document”.
In an attempt to facilitate wide access to the Masterplan, the Ministry of FEDICT has placed the sections of the plan which are not considered to be commercially sensitive, in the pdf format on a link to the Government of Anguilla website. Interested parties can access the link by using http://www.gov.ai/stmp.php
Requests for other formats and/or additional information can be made by sending an email to tourism@gov.ai

The Ministry FEDICT wishes to take this opportunity to reiterate its appreciation to all industry partners , stakeholders and the general public who have in any way participated in , contributed to and /or supported the tourism master planning exercise.
