ANGUILLA, BWI – Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report 2013 Readers’ Choice Awards – one of the longest running and most reliable polls of its kind among affluent and sophisticated travelers – has recognized Cap Juluca as the world’s number one beach resort in its September 2013 edition.
Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report is a leading source of information about luxury travel, having provided candid and insightful reviews to its members for nearly 35 years.
This year’s reader survey lists the world’s top 20 hideaways in categories such as city hotels, safari lodges and spa resorts – all rated by subscribers and featured in the September digital edition of Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report.
“We are absolutely delighted to receive the highest rating in this very prestigious publication,” said Charles and Linda Hickox, owners of Cap Juluca. “This honor can, of course, be attributed to our unrivaled beachfront location, but ultimately reflects the gracious nature and exceptional dedication of our hardworking staff.”
This accolade comes on the heels of the resort’s refurbishment of each of its 69 guestrooms, as well as the addition of the 3,290-square-foot Jonquil Suite and completion of significant upgrades to three eateries. These upgrades were made by the resort’s original owners Charles and Linda Hickox, who after reacquiring the property in May 2012, have steadily made millions of dollars in enhancements throughout the resort. In addition to refurbishing the property, they have appointed a dedicated and experienced management team to oversee day-to-day operations and guest relations.
