This year’s reader survey lists the world’s top 20 hideaways in categories such as city hotels, safari lodges and spa resorts – all rated by subscribers and featured in the September digital edition of Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report.

These upgrades were made by the resort’s original owners Charles and Linda Hickox, who after reacquiring the property in May 2012, have steadily made millions of dollars in enhancements throughout the resort. In addition to refurbishing the property, they have appointed a dedicated and experienced management team to oversee day-to-day operations and guest relations.
