If the energy on the road this past Sunday was any indication, the sport of cycling in Anguilla is officially on a massive rebound. On April 12th, the Anguilla Cycling Association (ACA) hosted the “Round-A-Bout to Round-A-Bout” race, a high-octane event that served as the perfect prelude to the highly anticipated Jamida Memorial Cycling Race.
The stretch of road between the Sandy Hill Round-A-Bout and the Valley Round-A-Bout became a high-speed battleground for a total of 57 aspiring cyclists. The event drew a diverse field of talent, with competitors traveling from St. Martin/Maarten and Guadeloupe to challenge our very own Anguillian riders.
The action kicked off at 1:00 PM with sharp interval starts that kept the crowd on their feet. Spectators witnessed a display of grit and athleticism across all categories, including Elite, Juniors, Masters A,B and C, Females, and the Pre-Junior class.
The members of the Anguilla Cycling Association are diligently working to secure the future of the sport. Sunday’s impressive turnout, particularly from the young participants in our pre-junior category, indicates a promising outlook for cycling here. Cycling in Anguilla is making a robust comeback!
Team Anguilla showed up in spectacular fashion, defending the home turf with podium-worthy performances across every category. The sheer volume of young cyclists participating in this event confirms a resurgence in local interest and promises a new generation of champions for the Island.
The Anguilla Cycling Association would like to congratulate all participants and thank the community for their overwhelming support. This race has set the bar high, and all eyes are now turned toward the Jamida Memorial Cycle Race on Sunday 26th April – the next race on the cycling calendar.

A total of 57 cyclists took part in the Roundabout to Roundabout Road Race, comprising 31 seniors and 26 youth participants.
