ANGUILLA RECORDED SECOND MURDER FOR 2014

The following release was issued by the Royal Anguilla Police Force on Wednesday this week:

“At about 10.30 am on Wednesday 1st October 2014, Police responded to a report that someone was shot in North Hill. On arrival M.B. of East End was met in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle motionless. The body of M.B. appeared to have sustained several gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor of the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Police started an investigation and items of evidential value were collected at the scene.
At about 10.46 hours the same day Police received information that a male was at the Princess Alexandra Hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound to his leg. Police investigation revealed that the victim, J.R. of East End, was also a passenger of the vehicle that M.B. was found in.

Several persons were taken into custody to assist the Police with the investigation.
The Royal Anguilla Police Force is continuing its investigation into the shooting incidents and appeals to anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigation Department. Information can also be put on our website www.gov.ai/911 or you may contact us at telephone #497-2223 or 497-6533.“
