Soon-to-retire employees in the Anguilla Public Service have received training to assist them in overcoming the trauma which is sometimes experienced by persons going into retirement. The move is the most recent exercise conducted by the Department of Public Administration as it continues to be committed to the on-going training of officers, a press release stated.
The training, under the theme “From Work to Retirement”, was held on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, May 14 and 15. The sessions were aimed at six officers who will be officially retiring in the next few months or within one year.

The rest of the release is as follows: “Public Administration recognises that while the transition from work to retirement may be new and exciting, it can also be a traumatic experience. Consequently, the main purpose of the sessions was to provide the retiring officers with some information on a wide range of topics to assist them as they prepare for the next phase in their lives.
