Dr. Ensor A. Gumbs, Anesthesiologist, has been appointed Director of Education for the Dental Anesthesia Program at Lutheran Medical Center, a designated level 1 trauma center in Brooklyn, New York. He is responsible for the coordination and direction of the clinical and educational programs for the dental anesthesia residents.
The son of Meridith and Ensor Gumbs, Dr. Gumbs attended undergraduate and medical school at Howard University in Washington DC. He then went on to complete his internship in preliminary Internal Medicine at Franklin Square Hospital Center in Baltimore, Maryland, known for having the busiest emergency room (ER) in the state of Maryland.
Dr. Gumbs later enrolled and completed a three-year stint in the anesthesia residency program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After completion of his residency, he joined the staff at Lutheran Medical Center and has been an integral member of the anesthesia group since joining in 2011.
