As the curtains close on the 2024–2025 academic year, Omololu International School (OIS) proudly celebrates the accomplishments of its students and staff. A heartfelt congratulation is extended to the Grade 6 Class of 2025, who now take their next step into the secondary division with confidence and purpose. This milestone was commemorated during the annual Awards and Grade 6 Graduation Ceremony held on June 25th, 2025 – a joyful and proud occasion for students, families, and staff alike.
Under the leadership of Ms. Gudis Hodge (Head of School) and Ms. Terra Zosel (Head of Primary and IB Coordinator), this academic year marked a pivotal chapter in the life of the school. In September 2024, OIS successfully expanded its high school programme to include Grade 9 (Form 3). Building on this strong foundation, the school is excited to announce the official launch of Grade 10 (Form 4) in September 2025, further solidifying its commitment to offering a complete and progressive secondary school experience in Anguilla.

The 2024–2025 school year was filled with many meaningful progressive and remarkable achievements. Among the academic highlights were:
? Three Grade 9 students recognized among the top CCSLC performers on the island, with two earning places on the regional merit list.
? Macmillan Reading Assessment results revealed that all students in Grades 3, 5, and 6 were reading at least one year above their chronological age.
? The IB Exhibition marked the end of Grade 5 students journey within the IB Primary Years Programme. A culminating project of academic inquiry and action, successfully demonstrating students ability to make connections to Anguilla’s past, and across subject areas. The exhibition, complete with traditional treats, student video interviews with prominent community members and a string band, received high praise from both peers and the wider public.

OIS proudly revived its Creative Arts programme, culminating in a full-scale pantomime production of Pirates of the Curry Bean; a joyful celebration of student talent, teamwork, and school spirit.
Beyond the classroom our students excelled in a range of extracurricular activities:
? 3rd place finish in the NCBA Girls’ Football Tournament
? Participation in the Rotary Spelling Bee in St. Maarten
? Leading local beach cleanups for CNN’s Global Call to Earth Initiative
? Achieving the school’s highest points yet at the Inter-Primary Sports Competition
? Winning accolades at the Malliouhana Poetry Competition and other local poetry competitions
Community engagement also flourished with the revival of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), whose efforts, including Family Fun Fest, Family Bingo Night, and weekly Snack Shack sales strengthened school spirit and reinforced a strong sense of connection across the community.
As OIS reflects on a year grounded in the guiding principles “Stabilise, Nurture, and Inspire,” the leadership team extends sincere thanks to all parents, families, and community stakeholders. Your continued support has been instrumental in helping the school thrive and in shaping a bright, promising future for every Omololu student. Omololu International School looks forward to continuing its mission as a beacon of holistic, inclusive education in Anguilla.
