Tele communication providers DIGICEL held a press briefing on Friday, 9th September, to acquaint the public about its upgraded features in telecommunication services. The “More” upgrade represents an improvement in DIGICEL’s offerings.
Marketing Manager, Orrett Wynter, introduced the “More” promotion: “Today we launch our ‘More’ campaign,” he said. “‘More’ is our push to reconnect with Anguilla. We have made a conscious decision to revert to our core colour, which is red. And across the island we have been erecting red billboards to represent this ideal. The faces on these boards represent our brand Influencers.”
“However, it is not just our visuals in colour,” Mr. Wynter noted. “We are giving Anguillians more of everything – more data; more talk; more speed. DIGICEL is giving the public more of everything that they need so that they can stay connected with the people they love.”
DIGICEL’s General Manager, Anne Parles, said: “Not only are we providing more speed, and more data, but we are giving more to the community in the form of sponsoring sporting events such as cricket, cycling with Hasani Hennis, and different programmes that we want to be involved in. It is our aim to give back more to Anguilla. As General Manager, my goal is to give back to society and to promote DIGICEL as a good corporate citizen.”
Consumer Sales & Digital Services Manager, Keithroy Proctor, then spoke directly about the upgraded offerings: “For the past four months we have been optimising and updating our plans to give our customers ‘more’.
“On the prepaid side, we are the only network that gives our prepaid customers unlimited talk for as low as EC$6.00 per day. We also give generous data allotment. Besides, we have updated our catalogue with data only plans, so our customers can buy data plans without talk.
“In addition, as far as our apps are concerned, we have decommissioned D’Music and replaced it with data for Spotify. We have also taken out PlayGo and replaced it with HBO Max and Disney Plus. Soon, we will also be Introducing Sound Cloud.
“On the postpaid side, we are the only network that allows our postpaid customers to roll over their data. We also have unlimited talk on all of our prime plans, and we offer double data for all our existing postpaid customers.
“As far as our Home & Entertainment plans are concerned, we have done incredible work by increasing our speed. Our minimum speed is now 100 megabytes. That is unprecedented in Anguilla and we are proud of it. DIGICEL is truly the network that gives our customers more.”
Mr. Proctor recognised DIGICEL’s Brand Influencers who work as the company’s ambassadors in representing and promoting DIGICEL on a regular basis. He also expressed appreciation for longstanding customers, namely Donna Banks, Wilmoth Hodge, Windell Proctor, and Carlton Pickering. These were presented with tokens of appreciation for their dedicated patronage of DIGICEL throughout the years.
