Once again, we have an Anguillian leading the management team of a major resort on Anguilla.
Some years ago, 1997-2006, Mr Eustace “Guish” Guishard, was appointed to lead the management team of Cap Juluca Anguilla in the capacity of General Manager.
Speaking at the Government of Anguilla’s press briefing on Monday, June 13, Minister of Labour, Mr Kenneth Hodge congratulated Anguillian Kevin Carty on his appointment as the new General Manager of one of Anguilla’s prominent resorts – Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club.
Minister Hodge said: “I am pleased, in my capacity as Minister of Labour, to join with Aurora Anguilla in announcing the appointment of a son of the soil, Kevin Carty, as the new General Manager of Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club with effect from September 5 this year.”
The remarks came following publication of a letter to the Aurora Anguilla Associates from the resort’s Vice President of Operations, Mr Christopher Walling, making the announcement.

On behalf of Resort Owner Mr. Richard Schulze and Salamander Hotels & Resorts, we are excited to announced that Kevin Carty will become the new General Manager of Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club. He will assume his role at the resort on September 5, 2022.
A native Anguillian, Kevin has a decorated track record with over two decades within the luxury resort industry. In his new role, he will bring his highly regarded talents and strategic leadership skills to all departments, with specific focuses on operations, financial planning, teambuilding, and guest services and satisfaction ratings. Kevin joins Aurora Anguilla from Belmond Cap Juluca where he has played a pivotal role as a member of the Executive Management team, culminating with his most recent position as the property’s Resident Manager.
Prior to his time at Cap Juluca, Kevin served as Assistant Financial Controller at Cuisinart Resort and Spa (now Aurora Anguilla), where he managed the financing of the construction of the new ocean villas and the spa renovation. Known for his solutions-focused, hands-on, people-centric leadership style, Kevin’s passion is to create legendary guest experiences and continually develop a strong cadre of local hospitality professionals with the capacity and drive to deliver first-class services.
Some of Kevin’s career highlights include the ground-up creation and successful launch and operation of Cap Juluca’ s highly reputed villa host program. He also played an instrumental role in influencing operations and services levels, which helped Belmond Cap Juluca garner the coveted Forbes Five-Star award in 2022.
His luxury hospitality experience is complemented by his United Kingdom-based training in Accounting and Finance at the at Emile Wolfe School of Accountancy, a Chartered Institute of Management Accountancy and at The University of West London, which was followed by several years of Offshore Investment Banking with Barclays Global Investors Ltd. in London. His statutory body and non-profit association board membership experiences and contributions also span the industries of health, insurance, and hospitality.
