Dear Mr. Editor,
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
I am compelled to write about what happened to us, on Dec 21- just 4 days before Christmas.
It was unfortunate, that we were there at that place at that time – but the good thing is no-one was hurt.
We were always wondering when it would be our turn – when it would happen to us ..and it did.
That terrible event – the one that is so feared by all – has forever been imprinted on the minds and memories of my family and my staff.
What are we going to do? What is Anguilla going to do?
We believe that enough is enough and that we should not allow this sinister, insane way of terrorising people to continue, because that is how it feels – like this country is in the grip of terrorists.
Anguilla needs to get back to its roots – where everyone knows everyone and everyone knows.
Wake up, Anguilla! There are Big city crimes happening in a Small country.
We need to have more police presence, more neighbourhood watches and more interest in the young people of Anguilla.
Let’s have some action please. Let us not just sit by and wait for another robbery, another serious life-changing injury or death to occur.
We have noticed that Anguilla is really good at funerals.
Anguilla, we need your help – so let your voice be heard and put pressure on the entities that your “Levy tax” is paying for. Let’s see some results.
It needs to happen now.
