The Ministry of Health hereby advises the general public that the protocols for day trips to visit Anguilla, and day trips for residents desirous of short trips to neighboring islands, are now in effect.
Fully vaccinated residents of Anguilla are permitted to leave Anguilla for no more than a 1-night stay in a neighbouring island. Residents will be issued a Day Pass Certificate from the Ministry of Health which will permit re-entry. Resident Day trippers will not be tested prior to leaving the island (unless required by country of entry) or upon return, nor be required to quarantine, but must submit to a COVID-19 test on the fourth day after their return to Anguilla. In order to collect a Day Pass Certificate, residents must bring their vaccination card, passport and evidence of their residency status in Anguilla to the Ministry of Health between 10:00 am – 2:00 pm daily. This must be done prior to the proposed date of travel.
Additionally, all day-trippers to neighboring islands must first obtain permission to enter by their relevant national authority before being issued with a Day Pass Certificate. Requirements to enter countries during the pandemic are normally posted on government websites. An Entry Certificate, or other proof of permission to enter neighbouring islands, shall be submitted to the Ministry of Health along with the other documents required for applying for the Day Pass Certificate. Persons issued with Day Pass Certificates are required to wear masks at all times while overseas, and observe social distancing, hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene protocols.
Further, visitors desirous of visiting Anguilla for a day trip (arrive in the morning and leave in the evening) must present to the exiting country’s immigration, aircraft or sea vessel operator, evidence that they have been fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine and a negative approved COVID-19 test conducted no more than 2 days prior to their travel date. This information will be verified upon arrival in Anguilla. Once all matters are in order day trippers entering the island will be assigned a day trip wristband, which can only be removed by authorised personnel upon leaving the island.

*Fully vaccinated is defined as 21 days after receiving the final dose of an approved vaccine. To note, residents between 12-17 years old will be considered fully vaccinated for travel purposes after 21 days from their first dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine.

The Ministry of Health reminds aircraft and sea crafter operators that they are liable to ensure that passengers are adhering to rules and regulations governing entry into Anguilla.
