Tourism Week in Anguilla ended with the annual Tourism Week Street Fair at the Social Security Complex in the Valley. Dozens of vendors were on hand to sell their displays of local food, drinks, clothes, plants, art, and so much more…
On Saturday, December 4, 2021, hundreds of people braved the hot sun and trickled through the parking lot on the complex. Strains of popular music and festive songs filled the air. Busy shoppers and curious onlookers strolled through the booths looking for that ‘special item’.
But there was more to the Valley Street Festival than just things to buy and music to enjoy. The Lions Club was on hand to offer blood pressure monitoring and distribute life-saving information. If you had the time, and were so inclined, you could stop by the massage booths and indulge in a relaxing session with a Masseuse.
The Department of Youth and Culture (DYC), through the Malliouhana Fest, launched an invitation to the public to design and create a National Wear for Anguilla. Ms. Avon Carty delivered the invitation on behalf of the DYC.
