Former Elected Representative for Island Harbour, Mr. Kenneth Harrigan, who also served as Minister of Infrastructure, has commended Dr. Timothy Hodge on achieving a PhD degree from the University of the US Virgin Islands in August this year.
Dr. Hodge is a long-serving Director of Social Security in Anguilla since graduating from school – on the island – and will be retiring in January next year at the age of 60.
His PhD dissertation was entitled: “Retrospective and Prospective Examinations of Climate Creation for National Creativity and Innovation.”
In commending Dr. Hodge on his academic achievement, Mr. Harrigan described him as a wonderful person who gave many years of dedicated service to the people of Anguilla as Director of Social Security.
“He did very well, and had a lot of guts to go through those PhD studies,” Mr. Harrigan stressed. He further congratulated him on his leadership skills, and said he looked forward to the day when Dr. Hodge would emerge in another leading capacity in Anguilla apart from Social Security.
In acknowledging Mr. Harrigan’s commendation, Dr. Hodge said the former Elected Representative’s remarks were encouraging and deeply appreciated.
