Application Process
A full and open competition was held inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals. Nine applications were received.
Chair of the Public Service Commission, Mrs Vida Lloyd-Richardson; Commissioner of Police, Mr David Lynch; and the Chief Executive of the National Commercial Bank of Anguilla, Ms Sharmaine Francois, joined Her Excellency the Governor as members of the Deputy Governor Interview Panel.
The Interview Panel sifted five of the nine applications through to the interview stage. The interview stage was a two stage process – a Stakeholder Engagement Panel comprised of representatives from the Public Service Commission, the Public Service Integrity Board, the Governor’s Office and the Health Authority, followed by the formal interview with the Deputy Governor Interview Panel.
One of the sifted candidates withdrew their application. The Stakeholder Engagement Panel met each of the four remaining sifted candidates and provided an insightful brief summarising strengths and development areas for each candidate to help inform the considerations of the Interview Panel in structuring the focus of questioning for the formal interview.
