ADRIAN T. HAZELL SCHOOL UPSETS VALLEY SCHOOL’S REIGN

The just-ended Inter-Primary School Sports Day competition, regarded as the biggest annual sporting event in Anguilla, came to an end on Wednesday, March 31.

This followed an impressive parade of athletes, and their cheerleaders, from all the schools to the Ronald Webster Park for the grand finale and showdown.
The Valley Primary School felt confident about attaining a tenth year of championship, but was defeated by the Adrian T. Hazell Primary School.

The results of the Sports Day activities were as follows:
Adrian T. Hazell Primary School : 546 points
Valley Primary School : 534 points
Orealia Kelly Primary School : 451 points
Morris Vanterpool Primary School : 333 points
Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary School : 330 points
Vivien Vanterpool Primary School : 199 points
Home School : 137 points
Omololu International School : 64 points

All of the competing schools were well-supported by parents, guardians and other members of the public.

The overall sponsor was Tropical Shipping which has been sponsoring the event for the past thirty years.
