New York, NY – May 20 2019) The Anguilla Progressive Association of New York, Inc. (APANY), under the leadership of (Mr. Carlson Connor, President, Mr. Calvin Bartlett, Senior Vice President and Mr. Rey Allan, Vice President), will host its 23rd Annual Awards Dinner Gala to celebrate “Anguilla Day” in New York at Antun’s in Queens Village on June 1, 2019 at 8:30 p.m.
The Government of Anguilla officials expected to attend are the Hon. Evans M. Rogers, Hon. Cardigan Connor and Mr. Mark E. Romney, Public Relations Officer.
Based on their outstanding service and work within the Anguillian community at home and abroad, this year’s honorees are (Dr. Shani Hughes, Medical Officer – Health Authority of Anguilla), Dr. Professor Delroy Louden, (First President of the Anguilla Community College (retired), Mr. James Fleming (playwright, actor, director (Anguilla, St. Thomas, U.S) and Mr. Eric Hughes proud son of both parents from Anguilla were among the first wave of Anguillians who migrated to Perth Amboy, NJ (U.S federal government retiree, author, consultant).
The Anguilla Progressive Association of New York, Inc. (APANY), is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in New York State since 1996.
