Ms. Tahirah Banks and Mr. Steve Webster are the proprietors of the company “Thoughtful,” a business communications consulting enterprise in Anguilla. On Tuesday, January 22nd, Ms. Banks and Mr. Webster launched their first Lunch and Learn event at La Vue Restaurant .
The Company brings professional personalities together in a lunch setting to learn from each other’s working experiences and receive enlightenment that would enhance their output.
Ms. Banks commented: “This is the first quarterly event to be held over lunch. It is essentially a seminar. We have invited persons from the private and public sectors who will benefit from what we have to offer in professional enlightenment. It is our intent to host these individuals to lunch as we bring them insights for their professions.
“We will recommend some of the strategies we use in our own company, which we find to be very effective and efficient. We will be giving our invitees, as professionals, an opportunity to sharpen their skills from the suggestion we provide.”
Ms. Banks said she got the idea from her brother, Olaidi Banks, who is a professional in Huston, Texas. She highlighted the successes of two local companies, namely Digicel and IWAS. Professional of these companies, Mrs. Kerchelle Jn Charles-Hodge and Ms. Mirabelle West were guests at the event. They related the strategies they use in their businesses that spell success for them in their day to day operations.
