The Department of Youth and Culture in the Ministry of Social Development, collaborating with the Management Advisory Board of the Job Link-Up Programme, conducted a Personal Development Session with the 2018 cohort of the Job Link-Up Programme on Friday, March 23rd 2018. The session was held at the Anguilla Community College and attracted the attendance of fifteen (15) young persons between the ages 16 – 30.

Ms. Kemoloy Murphy (Programme Assistant – Youth) warmly welcomed the clients to the session which included a presentation by Mrs. Aunika Webster- Lake of HR Oasis. Mrs. Webster- Lake spoke to the clients on the topic “Low Self Esteem – Confidence Building”. She encouraged the clients to always be positive and shared different strategies that can assist in confidence building.

At the end of the session, clients were introduced to their mentors and engaged in an interactive social session.

The Job Link-Up Programme seeks to support the engagement of young people in sustainable livelihoods, and provides opportunities for continuing education, acquisition of life skills, apprenticeships, psychosocial support, counselling, mentorship and personal/professional development coaching.
