The 46th Leeward Islands Debating Competition was held at Blue Ridge Convention Centre at South Hill, Anguilla, from March 2-4, with teams representing Anguilla, St. Maarten and Nevis.
The topics were as follows:
Friday, March 2: Mental health issues among Caribbean adolescents have largely been ignored.
Saturday, March 3: Climate change supersedes crime and drug trafficking as the greatest threat to the stability and development of the Caribbean
Sunday, March 4: Black peoples’ suspicion and resentment of white people is justified.

The results were as follows:
Night 1: Antigua (611) vs. St. Maarten (657), winner, St. Maarten
Night 2: Nevis (628) vs. Anguilla (590), winner, Nevis
Night 3: Nevis (651) vs. St. Maarten (558), winner St. Maarten.
Best Speakers were:
Night 1 – Kamalie Mannix – Antigua ,
Night 2 & 3 – Rol-J Williams.

Overall Winner- Nevis.
