It is known worldwide that Hurricane Irma has caused much destruction to our island. The schools have been severely damaged and many students have been affected by the storm. Education is the key to success and the members of Natty & The House band firmly believe that all children should have the necessary tools for learning. In collaboration with Roy’s Bayside Grill, the band held a fundraising event and prize raffle on October 6th to raise funds to purchase school supplies for students and teachers at the local primary schools. The band performed for a huge crowd of eager donors who purchased numerous raffle tickets to support the worthy cause. A substantial amount of money was raised and a wide variety of items such as exercise books, pens, pencils, rulers, sharpeners, glue, chalk, erasers, scissors and paper were purchased for students in need of the supplies. Each primary school on the island, including one the facilitators for the Return To Happiness Program, received a gift basket containing the necessary supplies. Natty & The House, alongside the management and staff at Roy’s Bayside Grill are very honored to assist the Anguillian community in every way possible by providing aid and voluntarily contributing to our community’s needs.
